Convention Speakers

The speakers list will be finalised in June 2009, but already the list of speakers who have expressed an interest in speaking is impressive.

Speakers include Tom Barr (author of The Barr Report) and Diana Walstad (author of Ecology of the Planted Aquarium).

Featured presenters also include Franz-Peter Muellenholz, Gilbert Maebe, Jean Joss on lung fish, John Merrick on crayfish, Doug Hoese from the Australian Museum on gobies, Gunther Schmida, Bruce Hansen, Culum Brown on fish behaviour, Sterling Peverell (Qld. DPI) talking on Freshwater Sawfish and Whiprays, plus more. Come and hear the experts give their informative presentations, you'll find them fascinating and entertaining. Diana Walstad - Diana is a world renowned expert on the planted aquarium (her book Ecology of the Planted Aquarium is essential reading for anyone wanting to develop an understanding of what goes on in your planted tanks) will be talking on "Why Natural Planted Tanks are Better".

Tom Barr - Tom Barr is another world renowned expert on the planted aquarium and the owner/author of 'the Barr Report' and he will be talking on "Methods for Aquatic Horticulture - How are Non CO2 and CO2 Enrichment Different?"
